Problem:
The
American Institute of Steel Construction uses iMIS 10 software to manager all their member information. However, changes to member information (password changes, address updates, etc.) made from the website were stored in a website database and then synced with iMIS at night. Membership was experiencing many difficulties trying to keep the two databases up-to-date with the correct information. They were having syncronization issues, data consistency problems, and duplicate accounts.
Solution:
Gulo analyzed the issues AISC was having and found a custom and cost effective way to solve the problem. We integrated the website directly into the iMIS database giving members real-time access to their iMIS member profile. Now if a user makes any changes to his/her profile, it gets updated on the site and in iMIS. There are no more data integrity problems between the web and iMIS databases because everything runs through iMIS.
