Podcasting, especially for associations, doesn't have to follow an elaborate radio show format. Record and syndicate committee meetings, phonecalls (using skype), speakers at your conference, or any other valuable content you think members might want to listen to. Tools like iTunes, Yahoo Podcasts, and Odeo will automate the process of downloading the podcasts for your listeners each time you update. So, unlike tradional content or streaming media, users don't have to check your site each day to see if you've added a new episode of your podcast. So the "but I don't have anything to say" excuse for not podcasting doesn't hold much water. You don't need anything to say; you're already saying it. You just need to record it.
